This song is my response to the repeating question I've been getting from my fans and friends over the years, "How come you don't ever drink?!?".

The original reason for that is that about 9 years ago I had gastric bypass surgery, and since then I haven't been able to drink. After a few years, I noticed that not only I don't miss it, but that my life is much better without it. Combined with some deeper reflections on my history with other mind-altering experiments, I accepted the fact that this kind of life is not for me.

Throughout the years I had to learn to find my place in social events, parties, dinners, and dances without being able to rely on "liquid courage". And then I started singing the blues, and discovered the best high possible, substance-free!

So although I'm still friends with some dragons, I realized that the best way for me to connect with the music and share it with the world is with my mind clear and channels open, and that connection for me is better than any drink, smoke, or pill.

IMPORTANT: This song is not a preaching sermon meant to put down anyone who participates in drinking, smoking, or any other substances. If what you're doing makes you happy without damaging your life or other people, then go for it, and I'll be right there with you getting high on the good vibes that life has to offer!
