This song came about after I've been singing a standard called "Wild Women Don't Have the Blues" for a while. At some point when I *did* get the blues, I realized that many people in my life don't realize that this was a thing that could happen.

Many people assume that extroverts, performers, and otherwise highly-motivated people are immune to depression and anxiety. Yes, I kick ass whenever I can, and yes I choose to be free of many social rules and regulations and live an unusual life, but it doesn't mean I don't have feels about it.

In fact, because I choose such freedom, it's even harder to make genuine connections with other like-minded humans, so folks - cherish your friendships, because if you find people who are your kind of weird, it's a blessing <3
