All my life I've been an interpretive performer (adapting other people's creations so that I still sing authentically), but it wasn't until I ventured into blues as a vocalist that I realized how deep into myself the music can reach.

Shortly after I started my musical projects in Prague, I was hit with a heavy general-life crisis (everything broke all at the same time). While I was recovering, I did a lot of emotional writing, in addition to other forms of therapy and much needed time off.

At the time I was listening to a lot of Fleetwood Mac, as well as reading their biographies, and I got a lot of inspiration from Stevie Nicks (minus the nasty coke habit), who just poured everything she was into her songs and was strong and vulnerable all at once.

One day while writing, this song just exploded out of the depths of my depression and anger. Being the first-song-I-ever-wrote, it went through many drafts as I myself healed from the emotional wounds that this breakdown left me with.

The rest is, as we say, history. More songs started coming. It's been getting easier writing and composing, but I'll never forget the song that started it all, that helped me realize that I can heal through writing music, and opened the floodgates of my songwriting.
